National Interfaith Prayers & Campaign Against Human Trafficking

The National Interfaith Prayers & Campaign Against Human Trafficking is a united call for faith communities, government, civil society, young people, families, and all people of goodwill to stand together against human trafficking and protect the dignity and freedom of every person.

Organized by the Uganda Episcopal Conference and partners, the event will bring together people from different faith traditions and communities for prayer, reflection, awareness creation, advocacy, and collective action against human trafficking.

Under the theme “Peace begins with Dignity – a Global Call to end Human Trafficking,” the gathering recognizes that lasting peace is impossible where people are exploited, abused, deceived, or treated as commodities. It seeks to strengthen compassion for survivors, increase public awareness of trafficking risks, and inspire communities to prevent exploitation and support efforts to end trafficking.

The event will feature interfaith prayers, messages of solidarity, awareness activities, advocacy, and commitments to action, with particular emphasis on protecting vulnerable people and empowering communities to identify, prevent, and respond to human trafficking.
